It is a call to end police oppression and brutality in Nigeria. In October of 2020, the movement spiraled from just being an online hashtag into a physical protest to once and for all call on the government to scrap the unit of the police.
The protest has gone global with celebrities and personalities from all across the globe lending their voice to the movement. The movement has also seen the dissolution of the unit which the government intends to redeploy to other arms of the Nigerian police force. Protesters are however against the move.
