Funmi Abioye, a Gospel music minister and songwriter, has released a new song titled “Faa Nu Tumisile.”

The Yoruba-titled song, when translated to English, means “Release Me By Mercy.” Funmi draws inspiration from Luke 19:30-31, which recounts the story of Jesus instructing His disciples to go into a village and untie a colt that had never been ridden before. When questioned about it, they were to explain that the Lord had need of it.

Funmi shares that the song serves as a reminder that just as the Lord could release the colt from being tied down, He is also able to release and deliver us from anything that has held us captive, including our children.

She believes that this song has personally ministered to her and expresses confidence that it will minister to listeners as well. By embracing the message of the song, individuals can find solace in the assurance that God’s mercy is capable of setting them free.
